'Breathing Space' Radical Rest Workshop

Join Wilderland creative wellbeing consultant Derval Dunford for a special workshop in embodying Mayo Dark Skies and the art of radical rest to celebrate World Space Week.
Inspired by Irish Philosopher John Moriarty who saw the night sky as a way to connect with a deeper, more ancient layer of reality, a source of spiritual renewal and wisdom, Derval will guide participants to the threshold between waking and sleeping. In this space creativity increases threefold, science calls it the creative sweet spot.
Participants are invited to lie down and rest deeply as they are guided in a gentle wander through inner space (the body) and outer space. It’s an opportunity to enjoy an expansive version of an ancient relaxation practice called yoga nidra (conscious sleep), along with open focus meditation and gentle breathing practices.
Our ‘Breathing Space’ session will finish with a simple creative integration and reflection.

Please note:
- The ‘Breathing Space’ workshop is open to adults only, and at no cost
- Participants should wear comfortable clothing
- A blanket and neck pillow/cushion are essential
- Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, limited mats will be provided
