My project research focuses on the human connections to Wild Nephin. I am interested in the people who live/lived in the area and how they lived. Using Apples as a conversation starting point, I spoke to my local community in Newport about their lives.
What became quickly apparent was the rapid change in food systems in the last fifty years. When I spoke to older generations about farming, what I was hearing was a deep connection to the land that fed them.
This in turn caused me to reflect on my own life, and the food systems that I am a part of.
