A climate change, hopepunk comedy show, created by scientists, comedians and… you!
We Built This City on Rock and Coal brings scientists and theatre-makers to the rural west of Ireland for a co-created comedy show driven by hopepunk, climate research, music, and what matters most to the local community. It’s a show that’s fun for you, and good for the planet! We believe that every individual and their community can be part of a solution to climate change.
We're hosting a show for the Gaoth Sáile community, starting with an informal climate conversation, followed by a show that holds space for audience members to speak up about the climate concerns that matter most to them. At the start of the show, we collect written answers from the audience to questions about the climate crisis. Our international improvisation experts will then use these source materials to inspire scenes, songs and sketches that will be unique to our Gaoth Sáile show and the community there.
